The monastery of La Verna where you can admire some of the most important masterpiece of the well-known artist Andrea della Robbia, the monastery of Camaldoli and the Sacred Hermitage, the monastery of Santa Maria del Sasso in Bibbiena.
You can also visit the Castle of Poppi and the old town in the surroundings.
Do not forget to visit the Romanesque churches like the Pieve of Romena,
Pieve of San Martino in Vado, of Pieve a Socana and Pieve of Stia, located in the picturesque Piazza Tanucci; look carefully to the chiseled capitals in every ancient church to discover the most suggestive part of it.
In Stia it is also possible to buy the famous fabric “Panno Casentino” . Furthermore in every Town’s small food shop you will find the local tasty products of the Casentino valley.
You can also make a leisurely hike along the trails of the National Park of Casentino Forests that are well marked, or you can simply choose to relax and have a sunbath under the sun of the Casentino.
And then, in the evening, Casentino offers many events, music concerts, food festivals, entertainment.
